Consigners
Encore Boutique has special guidelines for consignment in order to maintain the best, upscale selection for our customers. There is a minimum of 6 items per consignment, but there isn’t any maximum number of items. Consignment is by appointment only Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Occasional late appointments are available for those who cannot make appointments during those hours.
We accept women’s clothing from size 0 – 20. Clothing must be dry-cleaned or laundered, pressed and on hangers. Acceptable fashions are current (within the last 2 years) and in-season. We are an upscale boutique and accept better-label items only. Don’t forget, we also accept better-label shoes, handbags and belts that are in excellent condition.
Merchandise is priced according to its condition and current retail value. Encore Boutique reserves the right to set the price of all items, but on unusual or high-value items, your input is welcome. Itemized inventory sheets with your contract expiration date will be emailed to you within 10 days of accepting your merchandise.
Items consigned at Encore are full price for the first 30 days, and all items are marked down 25% after 30 days. All consigned items are subject to sales, in-store specials or coupons during their consignment period. Consignment contract terms are 60 days in length.
It is the responsibility of the consignor to call us 48 hours before the end-date of their contract to reclaim their items. Items are then pulled from the floor and will be available for pick up 48 hours after the end-date of their contract. Items not picked up by the consignor within one week of contract end-date become property of Encore Boutique and may be donated.
Consignors are paid 40% of the sales price. Consignor checks are cut upon request with 48 hours notice, once the consignor account balance reaches $25. There is a $3 disbursement fee for each check cut and mailed, and a $1 fee for checks that are picked up.
